I hang around some people who make me feel like my paltry achievement of managing seven kids at home at a time is a small thing - especially since I often did it badly!

Our first seven children were born through a ten year span, very close together. Our last daughter was born eight years later, and died just minutes after birth. Two of our children are out on their own now, with another perched on the edge of the nest and all but ready to take flight. Five seems so easy in comparison to seven! The house seems empty, and it seems wrong that the family is shrinking. Somehow it feels like it ought to be growing instead.

All these kids really are the most fun thing I have ever experienced. Hard, yes. They challenge me to the limits of my capabilities, and have required things at my hand that I felt incapable of doing. But we have survived the hard times, gloried in the good times, and learned so much in the process. My kids are the best thing in my life.

My home business involves creating infosites for income. In doing so, I don't do the usual "find a profitable niche" and then produce a site on whatever will sell. I look at my options, and produce sites on topics that I feel I can genuinely offer something of value from. This site is borne of my desire to support and empower other parents with large families, who may need to know they are not alone.
