i have always been judged about the number of kids i have... i look really young for my age and when i was younger people used to come up to me in the street and verbally insult me for being too young even though i was in my 20's...does anyone else suffer from other people's attitudes and how do you respond to this?

I get it now because I am "too old". You just have to learn to brush it off, or laugh.

Naw.. not crazy. Just enthusiastic... :)
I gotta say, I really envy you. Always wanted twins, now the thought of triplets is very appealing, though I could not say why!

Hi! We adopted quite a few of our foster kids, so even though we only have one foster infant now, people think we are some sort of group home. Even with our biological kids, who are all spitting images of their dad.

I have been in a similar situation, although I don't have many children yet, because I was a very young mother. I have to agree with lwheelr in that you "have to learn to brush it off" or grow a tougher skin. Unfortunately, it's easier said than done some days. Those days when I'm feeling most emotionally vulnerable, I try to make a mental list of all of those in my life that love me and support me. I start with my immediate family and move outward toward extended family and close friends (lovingly referred to often as my chosen family) and then to neighbors and friends that I've recently become acquainted with. Usually, somewhere along the line, I begin remembering funny or just plain good memories with one or more of those people and I realize that the insulting individual isn't saying what they're saying because they're judging me as a person because they don't even know me. They're judging the situation due to their own ignorance. I realize then that I can't change ignorance, but I can change how I react to it. Then I might even call up the person whose memory made me chuckle and share the experience with them because, more often than not, that person can get me to laugh all over again and I forget about the negativity or insult thrown at me and go merrily about my day.

I get the stares. I no longer care. My oldest has autism and a lot of behaviors related to it.....I am not here on earth to make other people feel "ok" about him. They best get educated and I am too tired to do it.

I get it all the time. My family just has a very young face, and also I take good care of my health, so I look younger than my 46 years. When I was much younger, I would reply with, "thanks, I'll appreciate that when I'm 35..." now I do! I tell people that "they keep me young!" (which is the truth!) and I really love it now that I can say "and I'm going to be a GRANDMOTHER in October!!!"
