Thanks for the link to your husband's blog. I'll have to go check it out. I've been a single mom for 6 1/2 years now. I did homeschool while I was married but now the oldest 5 are all in public school. It's not a battle I think I could win with my ex. I would dearly love to so I've leaving it in God's hands. I definately plan on homeschooling my youngest. I do work outside the home. I clean at the bank right across the street from our apartment(7 people, 2 bedroom apartment, I know about small space living ;-) ) This job pays very well, I can work whatever hours I want(except business hours obviously), they treat me VERY well, I can take kidlets if I need to. To me it's a dream job!!

What a blessing that job must be! One of our goals as a company when we are able to hire employees (so far just subcontractors), is to be able to work out a way to let people work with their families more. The practical reality of it though is hard, because some people simply won't control their kids in a work setting. And company daycare is just not feasible.

So I keep going back to the Lord about it, trying to see if there are creative solutions I've not thought of.

Of course, business and a family is ALWAYS a matter of prayer, otherwise you just lose it! :)

My name is Jamie. My husband of almost 7 years is Dave. Our oldest Ben will be 6 in a month, Allie is 4, Jonny is almost three (feb) and Tabitha was born last December...we have been trying unsuccessfully to sell our two bedroom condo for two years off and on. I am pregnant with our fifth child, due in September, Merry Christmas! We are Christians of the Assemblies of God persuasion, my hubs is an electrician and I usually stay home, unless he is laid off, then I work if I can. My only concern is housing at this point. im new here and wanted to say hi!

i was a single parent to four kids for 10 years but im married now and have 5 kids...i know im nowhere near as blessed with kids as some mothers on here but im 31 so theres always time ha ha. i have really difficult pregnancies or id say id love to have 8 or 9 kids but i think 6 will be my max. do you think you'll have anymore? theres always the chance you'll meet someone who doesnt have any kids and wants one like i did...

Oh, you have plenty of time. My last pregnancy was a 50--somewhat of a surprise. Our son, who turned 6 last year, was dismayed that he wouldn't get to have a younger brother or sister. We told him no more babies were forthcoming, and he would have to make do with a cat, which he named Prune. Less than a year later we took in our foster baby. There's always a surprise around the corner.

Hello! I am a military wife, disabled stay at home mother of one biological (live-in) son (12 and home-schooled) and step-mother to two (visiting only) daughters (6 & 8). My husband and I are hoping and planning for five more and are looking for as much information, advice (to be filtered and applied as needed) and as many resources as we can find. I have always wanted a large family. He has always wanted multiple children too, but never had a preference as to family size. Since we purchased our first home together last year, we've been talking about expanding to fill the bedrooms, and then expanding the house to create more bedrooms. *Giggles* We'll fill those too eventually. I'm really excited about being a mom of multiples. I'm even more excited because there is a chance that we will have more than one set of twins, which I am looking forward to.

I've been popping in and out of the forum here, but never actually introduced myself. Hub and I have 23 kids--but "only" 14 are at home now. Youngest is 1, and a foster child we are hoping to adopt. Many of the others are former foster kids too. If I were to describe my family, it would be "many large teenagers."
