Big Family Benefits

Large families from the inside. This section addresses the questions regarding whether it is fair to siblings to have so many in the family, emotional stability of children raised in large families, and the positive influences that parents feel and see from the inside.

Some of the same people in town who have looked askance at the large number of children we have, now hire our kids, and won't hire anyone else, for yard work and odd jobs because they feel they are more responsible and know how to work better than the other teens in town.

The kids don't lack for peers, or companionship, even if they never leave the house. Sometimes they are pretty tired of their siblings, but that teaches them how to stick out relationships and forgive.

Chess is a big thing in our home. The kids are challenged to think in more ways, because each child develops their own unique way of perceiving strategy, so the range of challenges each kid is faced with in a game is quite a bit more varied. I feel chess aids in intellectual development, and more opponents develops their intellect more fully.
