Family Traditions |
|
The ties that bind are often the things that your family does that are special to your family, or unique to your home. Time with just family that everyone enjoys is important. Some families camp, some visit museums. Some families have elaborate traditions, some just have Sunday afternoons talking with one another. Common experiences may include music, books, movies, or other shared experiences. The combination of those, with the day to day activities and routines, will form a large part of your children's identification with their family. They will form some of the more memorable events. One of our favorite things in our family is Sunday afternoons. Sundays are quiet for us, and the afternoons often get us all talking, and the stories start circulating. It is just such good time. We love camping, but since our tents both were damaged in a windstorm we have been unable to replace them. Our whole family loves skating. Kevin and I met at a roller rink over 20 years ago, so there is some history there. What ties your family together into a distinctly unique entity? |
