Storing Hand-Me-Downs

Tips and systems for storing clothing between children. Most large families have extra because they know they will need it.

We use plastic bins to put hand-me-downs in. They are stacked in the closet, with labels on the front side so we can see what they are.

We have a shoe-box also. Another bin actually, in which we toss shoes, which are tied together in pairs. When the kids need shoes, they go first to the box, second to the store.

A garage is not a good place to store clothes unless it is free of mice.
